Steady Rolling Spin Offs...

Our classic SRM recipe features hand selected Mosaic, Motueka, Amarillo and Idaho 7 - all from specific suppliers and farms that we have got to know over the years.

When we change up this recipe, or more specifically the dry hop, we are looking for an individual hop to be given the lime light to really sparkle.

We know the base recipe so well, and have such confidence in our house process and house yeast, so it is an amazing opportunity to really let the singularity and individuality of a single hop come forward.

Last year we spent some time in New Zealand visiting our hop farms and suppliers and selecting out crop year 2025 hops. This is such a valuable and rewarding experience… While out there, a plan for two remixed versions of SRM were hatched with two of our favourite NZ hops.

Steady Rolling Man, our OG. Our stone cold Steve Austin modern classicTM with added spoice.Originial base recipe. 12g/l freshly harvested, hand selected Motueka hops.

INSANE! Tropical limes and kefir lime atop classic Steady Rolling Man base.

Steady Rolling Nelson, Original base recipe, 12g/l freshly harvested , hand selected Nelson Sauvin hops. Passionfruit, skittles atop a classic Steady Rolling Man base...we’ve never known Nelson like it!

Potentially the best beers we made in 2025!

Steady cask is back!

And this year it’s extra special as we’ve got hold of the freshest, pokiest Mosaic freshly harvested from one of our favourite hop farms in the world - Coleman Farms.

Over the years of blind hop selection in America, there has been one common denominator - Coleman Farms Mosaic! For the past few years we have blind selected Coleman Mosaic (lots of!), which is fascinating to us and has helped develop our amazing relationship with Max and the wonderful team at Coleman.. Mosaic makes up the vast majority of the Steady Rolling Man hop bill so clearly is a huge deal for us.

For the last couple of years we have made the journey down to Coleman Farms in the Willamette valley to visit the amazing farm, learn more about the hops we have been selecting in our most important beer and have a cracking lunch and a few beers with their team.

Coleman Agriculture is a seven-generation family farm with deep expertise, robust and fertile land, and the latest in modern agricultural technology. In the spring of 1847, James and Frances Coleman with their daughter, Anna, left Iowa to venture westward on the Oregon Trail in search of new opportunities. The Colemans were one of the first families to settle at the St. Paul Mission, and it wasn’t long before they put the plow to earth. Now the seventh generation of Colemans (cousins Ben and Tom, alongside their spouses Jen and Melissa) have their boots firmly planted in the same Willamette Valley soils that have been family-farmed for more than a century. They continue to grow their vision through education and sustainable agriculture.

As one of the largest and most diverse hop growers in Oregon, Coleman Hops produces millions of pounds of high-quality hops each year, from 16 distinct varieties. They raise hops across 2,000 acres of Willamette Valley farmland on four distinct farm sites. Crop diversification is important for a successful farm, so in addition to hops, they also grow hazelnuts, garlic, seed crops and vegetables.

Nearly all of the United States’ commercial hops are cultivated in the Pacific Northwest, where the climate is ideal for their growth. Terroir helps distinguish one hop-growing region from another. Just as the wine industry defines terroir as how a particular region, soil, climate and environment affect the taste of wine, we are researching how terroir creates unique hop characteristics. Oregon’s Willamette Valley is the only hop-producing region west of the Cascades, it receives three times more rainfall than its counterparts in Idaho and Washington while experiencing summer temperatures that are ten degrees cooler. These conditions give Oregon-grown hops a distinct profile compared to the same varieties grown in hotter regions. Additionally, the milder weather allows Oregon to cultivate specific hop varieties that thrive in a cooler climate.

We’re so excited to share this Coleman Hops focussed release with you!!

Launching Nationwide and in the Taproom from Wednesday 28th January!

Each year at US hop selection we invariably choose lots from Coleman Agriculture in Oregon. Their hops always present very high levels of bright juicy aromatics. To shine a light on the incredible hops that Coleman Agriculture produce, we have brewed a cask batch of Steady Rolling Man, that utilises one of their favoured lots from this years harvest.

END PHASE

THE AVERAGE EMISSIONS FROM THE DISPOSAL OF EACH CAN ( PLEASE REPURPOSE OR RECYCLE )

Kegged beer has a slightly lower carbon footprint than cans, this is due to efficiencies gained in larger packaging volumes and the reusability of the kegs we use. However, research has shown that aluminium cans are the next best option after kegs.

We have continued to partner with Zevero to measure our emissions and are proud to be a member of their online auditing platform. This allows us to measure our monthly emissions and brings us even closer to knowing the ins and outs of our carbon footprint, where the hotspots are, and where we can focus on reducing our environmental impact.

It’s vital companies start and continue to measure their emissions to create change. The more we measure, the more the industry is aware of the emissions we create, the more we can start to reduce.

Download our 2022 cradle to grave carbon footprint above, and take a stroll down memory lane if you’d like and read our 2021 & 2020 report!

Please have a read, share it, and contact us below with any questions you might have.

Using this platform also allowed us to see how our emissions stand up against any projects we implement to lower our in-house emissions, and against our peatland and forestry restoration projects. If you haven’t heard about this then follow the links below to find out more about the work we’ve done with Forest Carbon and The Woodland Trust for our climate change mitigation.
