The newest kid on the block…
Marinated is born out of our hop harvest trips to America and New Zealand and our interactions, learnings and discoveries on the farms that we visit. This new series will spotlight specific growers that we are excited about and excited to work with. E.g if a specific lot of a specific hop grabs our attention on a visit during harvest time, we will start planning a recipe and beer release around that. This will often include newer or emerging varieties or just specific growers we have never had the pleasure of working with before. This lends itself to exploring different growing regions and smaller producers we might not otherwise be able to experience.
The Marinated In brand is influenced by Georgia O’ Keefe’s works. As well as making beautiful paintings, of which her flower series we have used for these labels, O’Keeffe was a devoted health-food enthusiast who focused on fresh, natural ingredients from her New Mexico garden. She wrote a cook book with her own marination recipes. This marriage of whole food ingredients, painting, flowers and a fierce woman living in the desert is something that really pulled at our strings!
