Odell brewery has a special place in our hearts…
Back in 2014, Theo was lucky enough to spend 3 months at Odell and thoroughly immersed himself in American craft beer culture and the concept of what a world class brewery looks like and how it functions.
It was both really exciting and formative and made a huge impact on the genesis of the seedling that was DEYA Brewing Company.
Odell make phenomenal beers with a rigid and clear dedication to quality and doing things the right way. This had a lasting impact on how we wanted DEYA Brewing Company to start, grow and exist.
So, what better way to celebrate our 10th birthday than with a gorgeous, nostalgic-ish American IPA, brewed with a brewery so close to our hearts.
It was an absolute pleasure to host Doug and Wynne at HQ and cook up a delicious hop forward, truly American style IPA, with pioneers of this style.
This beer marries the two breweries approaches to IPA brewing, a citrus fruit forward American IPA which certainly looks to the past, but remains in the present. Hand selected Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo and Comet bring forth a medley of classic IPA flavours and aromas - citrus, pine, tropical, dank, while our classic house yeast esters bring the beer all together.
