In March, we were lucky enough to visit New Zealand to sniff, select and learn about all things hops.
We visited our suppliers, farmers and fellow industry peeps to further our understanding of the New Zealand growing industry, and sink a few fresh beers along the way!
At DEYA we really value the opportunity to get closer to the products we use, and seek out the best quality hops we can get our hands on… We feel this truly elevates our beers. As a hop obsessive brewery it is imperative to continually deepen our understanding of hop growing, quirks of varieties and harvest, and be at the forefront of what’s new and delicious.
Off the back of the trip we have devised a NZ hop showcase which features amazing produce from the likes of Freestyle, NZ Hops, Eggers and Clayton. We believe in the quality and the uniqueness of the hops grown by these farmers and suppliers, and love what they bring to our house, hoppy, hazy style. DEYA juiceTM.
Spending time on the south island, we learned a hell of a lot which we will take forward to continually improve our NZ focussed recipes, and beers we have dreamed up along the way.
